It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Fornier who died Christmas Day.

His influence and impact on the Comfort House for nearly 30 years is immeasurable.

There are no words to express the loss of Joseph and our sympathies are extended to his family at this difficult time.

There are people in need year-round.  This year has been so difficult on so many. Most of the families are not prepared for a medical crisis and expenses add up so quickly. By sponsoring a guest or family, you will be making a positive impact in their lives at a time when they need it the most. No matter the amount, your gift will cover the cost of families in need.

March 24, 1990, The Comfort House founding member, Joseph Fournier was awarded a Points of Light by George H.W. Bush.

President George H.W. Bush believed that every societal problem is being solved somewhere by a group or an individual. The Points of Light Award honors outstanding individuals advancing solutions in ways that demonstrate extraordinary traits: integrity, empathy, respect, optimism, conviction in the face of opposition, and belief in the power of the human spirit to create positive change.

Honorees demonstrate the transformative power of service, and are driving significant and sustained impact through their everyday actions and words that lights the path for other points of light.
