We are dedicated to providing affordable short-term lodging for out-of-town patients to improve the health and welfare of families in the midst of a medical crisis.
After much consideration Comfort House of Augusta has decided to remain open. Medical procedures that could be postponed have been, our current guests, are here because they have to be. We believe the service we provide is ESSENTIAL and as long as the hospitals in the Augusta area remain open, so should we.
We are taking every precaution we can and following CDC guidelines.
Since we always serve those with compromised immune systems, our standards of cleaning and disinfecting are above normal to ensure our guests are safe and protected.
Guests, visitors, and volunteers are required to wear a mask while in common areas in the house. Each of our volunteers are here because they believe in our mission. They are our heroes and even in this situation they continue to show up to offer support and love to our home and our guests.
Sponsor a Guest
There are people in need year-round. This year has been so difficult on so many. Most of the families are not prepared for a medical crisis and expenses add up so quickly. By sponsoring a guest or family, you will be making a positive impact in their lives at a time when they need it the most. No matter the amount, your gift will cover the cost of families in need.

President George H.W. Bush believed that every societal problem is being solved somewhere by a group or an individual. The Points of Light Award honors outstanding individuals advancing solutions in ways that demonstrate extraordinary traits: integrity, empathy, respect, optimism, conviction in the face of opposition, and belief in the power of the human spirit to create positive change.
Honorees demonstrate the transformative power of service, and are driving significant and sustained impact through their everyday actions and words that lights the path for other points of light.
